well just tried enabling it and others listing as new, and got the crash to reoccur.

it was something that shouldnt have been in Audacity but could well be my fault, i recycle and move plugin files between machines and along the way i suspect i may have seen a folder marked plugins and sent it to audacity. likely some browser plug/extension. but was listed in new section of add/remo...

it was picking up some .googlecode. thing as 1st in new plugin list. all good with it disabled.

Not exactly sure what causes the crashes. happens with the first time run add/remove effects. am attaching the dbg report if that helps.

with a few exceptions everything on my page has either been recorded with Audacity and those that were not were all edited and mixed , etc on Audacity. so then trying to install from synaptic or apt-get starts complaining about these same dependencies again, despite the fact that they are installed, or can be reinstalled but still complains about dependency errors.
