Can you attach a sample?

Can you post a sample so we can tell what it might be? Does the recording meter go into the red?

Is the Alpha set to stereo? Would it give stereo recording if you use a Y-splitter? One with two mono .25" jacks plugged into the Alpha's output and a stereo 3mm jack into the PC input.

I get stereo guitar recording by plugging my multi-fx in like that.

It works if I import a custom preset from an early enough audacity and if I don't click to add or remove a tab. Good enough.

Reaper's ReaEQ stopped working with Audacity from Audacity 2.1.1 I think. I have tried it in audacity-win-rbd9fc44-2.1.3-alpha-13-apr-16 with Windows 10, all it does is open. Nothing else. I join clips within the same track by clicking on the track to select it and using Tracks / Mix and render.

The same command will merge tracks. Select one, use the arrow keys to move the yellow outline up or down and press Return or Enter to add to the selection.

No it doesn't but Audacity still won't open when it's installed.

How did you find out it was the fugly calculator?

I don't know what else to say. If it were mine, I might reset Windows to fresh install and reinstall the apps one by one until I find which of them conflicts with Audacity. Extreme, I know. Come to think of it, have you installed or updated anything since Audacity last worked? Have you tried the lat...
