Thank you, but it doesn't help. The plugins worked before, on the same laptop and OS as now.

I have the same problem. None of my plugins will enable. They worked before on my PC and my laptop. Now they won't. Win10.

I had the same problem without it being a usb mic. I sorted it by updating the soundcard driver. Other fixes are: minimising the window with Audacity in it; unchecking the sound activation setting in the transport menu.

The sample sounds good to me. The trumpets stand out strongly, so I reckon they overload your implant. Recording from the radio brings out the frequencies that happen to match the implant's most sensitive ones. Am I right in guessing that it's tuned to pick up speech better than anything else? Underneath the text box when you answer a post are the Save Draft, Preview and Submit buttons. Below them are two tabs: Options and Upload. Choose Upload.
