No software came with unit. I had to download a windows driver from the Behringer site but that was it. Trying to get it to work in Audacity specifically. As far as I can tell Audacity is recognizing it as only two channels, not as two stereo channels. Next time I mess with it I'll record and test e...

Can only see 2 channels on my Behringer UMC404 Interface

Don't know how to tell Audacity that this is a 4 channel interface. Looked all over the place. You'd think this would be a common problem with this interface. Worked fine with my Akia EIE I used to have.

Capture.PNG Capture2.PNG Hi. I'm back. I didn't like the EIE and sold it. I now have a Behringer UMC404 and am having a similar problem. Only this time changing it to WASAPI does not fix the issue. I went into the settings in Audacity and it looks like Audacity thinks the device only has 2 channels...

I don't know all the fancy words for it but I just got it to work after banging my head all day.. See the screen shot. I had to change MME to Windows WASAPI.

the Akai EIE that is not pro, doesn't have drivers, or it contains its own. So it's not a driver issue. Audacity recognizes my Akai EIE but I can't figure out how to get it to record all 4 tracks simotaniously.

When I tried setting up the Akai EIE in reaper it had me configure ASIO so yes it uses ASIO whatever that means. How does one compile Audacity to work with ASIO? I'm looking for a how to on that.

I'm tired of seeing links to the multi-channel recording page in the wiki. It doesn't provide any actual information on how to use multitrack recording (or if it's even possible) in audacity.
