when using Amplify it pays to check through your file to make sure there are no large spikes,as you will be denied a setting if there out of the spectograph window.i always use the click function first,but some need removing manually.--mickthefish.

will NOISE REDUCTION be any different on the 2.1.1 version ?,Or will i have to re do all my tapes and records again---mickthefish.

Hi Gale-I suppose it depends on what project your working on wether you prefer the checkbox (ticked or un-ticked)if as you say most people prefer it set to overwrite.not an easy FIX for me though!-mickthefish.

when using (export multiple) in audacity,is there any way to permenantly untick the (overwrite existing file) box as i keep forgetting to unclick it.it would also save time as i use quite a lot--mickthefish.

i use the NORMALISE effect quite a lot,but i never mess with the tracks seperatley as this is how they were mastered originally....mickthefish

hi Steve-yes i agree with you some ammount of Hiss IS UNAVOIDABLE.however if you compare a tape with no noise reduction to one with noise reduction,the results are unmistakable.noise reduction has made all my tapes a treat to listen to.nothing is perfect----mickthefish.
