Re: timeshift clip changes size?

If you CTRL-drag and the clip won't go back, you only need a single Edit > Undo Time Shift to put the clip back. Gale CTRL-drag is a good tip but the problem with undo is that then any editing on the clip gets undone as well. I usually work on copies of clips so I don't mess up the main track. If t...

Re: timeshift clip changes size?

Hi Gale, Little hard to explain but doing the same edit as above, split/new, zoom way in, try to realign, you see the results. Knowing now what you've told me will help but I was doing lots of editing zoomed out and after zooming in later, realized I was pasting parts in all the wrong places. :shock...

timeshift clip changes size?

RE: XP - V2.1.1.0 - w/installer Thought I'd report a problem I'm having since I can't find an answer. I split a section of a track with the clip boundaries tool then move it with the timeshift tool to a blank adjoining track. Then if I try to move it back into the hole it just made without doing any...

Re: splitting files

NOTE: If you try this without highlighting the part of the track you want, I find that the entire song (entire screen) gets highlighted and only doing an undo will get you back to where you were. Don't know why. This also happens when you use the "split cut" function under "remove special" w/o high...

Effect errors?

I'm getting an error box (like attached) about every time I try to use a new or different effect it seems. Looks to be that the next effect I choose is trying to use the default data from the last one? The errors don't seem to effect anything as the effect then opens normally and works fine. Just th...

Re: splitting files

That's pretty easy and there are a couple ways to do it. First just mark the location where you want the cut with the cursor (and be sure it's the only track selected). Now with the cursor on your mark, press end on your keyboard to highlight from the cursor to the end of the track (this will be the...

upgrading versions?

Hi, been using v2.1.0 after finally upgrading from v1.6. I now have to run both versions to be able to access the older files. For the new v2.1.1 install however, does it overwrite v2.1.0 and able to use the same plug-ins, preferences, etc. I assume the 2.1.0 files will still be compatible (unlike c...

Re: Timeless (blank) vs Empty (lined) Track Parts?

The checkbox sounds great! I'm getting the hang of the program now and going well. Will checkout the custom mix but I only work in stereo tracks so don't know if needed for what I do. Thanks again for the great tips! (and please add a search function to the manual - would probably save you lots of q...

Re: Timeless (blank) vs Empty (lined) Track Parts?

Steve, thanks much for clearing that up in such depth. I've also just learned that I didn't have to figure out the times to put in the selection boxes for generating "silent space" to fill the "white space" as the program automatically does the math for me! Cool! Hi Gale, That option would make thin...
