Re: Normalize - will not normalize entire recording

I know I've only got 6 months experience, but this is a good post for my learning curve. As Hard Limiter is a form of compressor, does this not meam that Leveler would do this as well, as it is also a compressor? I do get confused with some of the differences. :)

Re: De-Clicker Settings Problems

Thanks Paul for the reply, sorry I am late with this but I have been away for a few days. Things have moved on a bit since I posted either of my two posts. I found out that my KM media player was causing oscillation, and wasn't giving true representation . I had to change it and all my media players...

Re: EZ-Patch Double Note

Thanks so much Steve for your help and excellent fix, this is now solved. The Repair Channel add on is a wonderful addition, and has saved me so much time. Thanks again. :)

Re: EZ-Patch Double Note

Thanks for the quick reply Steve. I am guilty as charged, I did run a repair on it before presenting it. I ran PaulL's De-Clicker on it. I was only left with four bits of mud sounding data. The rest was passable and just needed some filter work, and equalising. I could have done the first click in t...

Re: EZ-Patch Double Note

Thanks for the quick reply Steve. In the enclosed sample I have a couple of bits of mud at about two and four seconds. There are a couple of other examples on the whole track, but I have solved everything else. I think I am on the right lines with EZ-Patch, any improvements on this idea would be gra...

EZ-Patch Double Note [SOLVED]

Hi I posted for the first time recently about click removal, and managed to remove all the problems, except for four pops. I have been trying to use the EZ=Patch plugin by Steve Daulton on those four. I have been following the enclosed link http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=62384 bu...

Re: De-Clicker Settings Problems

Thanks again for the reply Trebor. I can't get a copy of ClickRepair till early July as the author is on Holiday or travelling. I have tried demo version of some of the more exepensive offerings you were talking about, but they are a bit scary on my limited and less than 6 months knowledge. I have a...

Re: De-Clicker Settings Problems

Thanks Trebor. I realise that, I was just trying as a frequency change idea, setting the bottom end of the frequency bands to 75 in Audacity because PaulL said in the original thread that there was no improvement by moving the threshold figure, although I did try that with threshold readings from OC...

Re: De-Clicker Settings Problems

Thanks for the reply Trebor. Sorry I have been a bit of time get back to you, but I was trying one or two things out. I tried your idea of setting to 75 but it made no difference. My settings as on the above screen were the best to date. I thought everything was ok, but when I play either of my two ...
