Re: Record two mono channels simultaneously
I see two "styles" of multichannel interfaces: - USB audio compliant interfaces just present a number of channels, from 1 to 16. There's no direct monitoring in the interface, nor level control or routing. - Pro style multichannel interfaces that have their own control panel in the driver or a separ...

Yes, Gale, that sums it up nicely.

Re: Recording and Burning to CDs
iTunes, the Finder and any other disc related program will still burn CD's on OSX, providing you buy an external burner, of course. The simplest thing to do is to load tracks into iTunes, make a playlist and burn it. iTunes will convert automagically from whatever sound format to 16 bit, 44.1 KHz on...

Re: Lock tool bar arrangement
I don't expect Audacity to know where I want them! I want to put them where I want them and then have them stay there relative to the left top left corner of the Audacity window and not shift them around just because there is a change in the space available. When I expand the window I want them to ...

Re: records background noise
You may need to open Audio/Midi setup in Applications/Utilities and confirm your settings there even if the look to be OK. Quit Audio/Midi setup to save settings.
Quit Audacity first and relaunch after.

Re: Record two mono channels simultaneously
Device Toolbar Recording Channels would be the most obvious to me I've been mulling this over - it's not really a "device" option. The related "device" option is "how many channels". How Audacity groups/arranges the recording tracks has nothing to do with the device (other than the number of channe...

Re: Drums Recording Help
The wav file "Uasdasdfntitled.wav" is badly clipped. I think the recorder may have a brickwall limiter that makes it sound better than it should. The wav file "Unawdtitled.wav" is also badly clipped. And there's an annoying hum. The recorder can't handle it, because the mic is clipping even before e...

Re: Windows 8 64 Bit User Need Help with Plug-ins.
I am under the impression that Youtube guy doesn't know what he's doing. That's just by listening to the sound, so it might be a Youtube problem. But, still, that plugin looks very promising, as it is a Waves L1 clone. It has been in beta since september 2013 though. Could it be abandoned? IMHO you ...
