Re: issue with mouse bindings and Apple Screen Sharing

Screen sharing is quite common on Macs and works with nearly any app. I can't even think of an app that doesn't work with it.

I use it for recording, fi.

Re: issue with mouse bindings and Apple Screen Sharing

[*]A keystroke-mouse with wheel controls (specifically: "⌘-wheel up" to zoom in) There's nothing special with this mouse, Steve. It's just a common mouse and pushing the command key while using the mouse wheel is a common way to handle zoom. Anyone can test it, even with a trackpad, as it...

Re: issue with mouse bindings and Apple Screen Sharing

The issue is that while Screen Sharing from my MBP (10.11.3) my keystroke-mouse wheel controls (ie: "⌘-wheel up" to zoom in) in Audacity don't work, while on my 13" (10.6.8) they work perfectly (as if I'm sitting at the Mini itself). Other controls (like ⌘-I to split, etc) still work...

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full

First test with Audacity 2.1.2, Chrome with youtube and Reaper show no problem when running Antipop. Haven't restarted or logged out yet, but I have saved several projects with dashes in the name. Plugged in The RME interface - no problem there either. Looks very promising. Thanks again for that tip...

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full

I assume you have a battery-powered Mac, right? I think it's trying to be too clever turning off the sound system to save power. Yes, but it was on mains power all the time. Besides, it only happens with Audacity, not with Boom Recorder, Sound Forge or Reaper. It's a behviour that Audacity has show...

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full

Is that really a problem? I use minus sign all the time. Never known Audacity to crash on that... Hyphen, N-dash and M-dash aren't even present on my keyboard, so I don't use 'em in file names. Mmmm... :( After doing a couple of saves with minus signs in the filename, no more sound in Audacity. Only...

Re: Where have the Windows gone in 2.1.2?

That's a particularly nasty shortcut for anyone on a non-English keyboard. It's probably the single most confusing character on any keyboard and in a lot of programming languages on any OS. Even the spell checker for English doesn't know the word "backtick"... It's disabled in some languag...

Re: Something else that confounds me ...

I see. I'm lucky to have a professional motor repair shop here. They can recoil almost anything. And I have a vintage coil making machine, so I can recoil some of these myself. That is, if I can get them to open up. This one looks like a hard one to open without damaging the looks. And its probably ...
