Sphinx and Pocketsphinx can do that. However, these are not enduser tools and more of a programmer's toolbox:

Re: Getting Multi-track with a zoom H5 and Audacity
Disconnect the zoom from the computer and use the menu on the H5 to set it to multitrack. It's on stereo by default. See page 72 of the manual. After that, reconnect the Zoom and it will appear with 4 channels in Audacity. You will need to "rescan for audio devices" under the Transport men...

Sometimes, phrases are all you need.
If you don't know the right phrase, it's next to impossible to google it...
And that's especially true for audio. You can't describe what you hear.

Re: Recording from a Multi-Input Interface
I wouldn't advise JackOSX. I don't have recent experience with it, but when I was still using Snow Leopard, it was fairly buggy. And when you're recording, you don't need buggy behaviour. I just record all tracks and delete the unwanted ones. Since I usually connect to the lower channels first, it's...

Re: Error 404 for 2 pages in tuts
On this page: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Tutorials The link for the "78 rpm recording" tutorial and the "making ringtones" tutorial give a "page not found" error, and the "return" link goes to the manual, instead of the tutorials page. Broken links: ht...

Re: Blocked IP address
AudacityTeam.org seems to have no AAAA records in DNS. So, ipV6 is not working. Maybe Dana's ISP is bridging him over ipV6?

Yep. From the manual page they seem to work. But not from the tutorial page. And they are the exact same URL.
Now we're both puzzled

Re: Playback is fast and skipping
Do you have a portable Mac? If yes, maybe it could help. If no, forget it. Antipop is a smart workaround that's well hidden on the net. Gale found it. It "plays" a synthetic voice in the background, speaking a "space" every ten seconds or so. Of course, a space isn't audible, but...

Re: De Essing on Audacity
There is a free de-esser for Mac in MDA-VST: http://mda.smartelectronix.com/ . Works quite well. It's a little buggy on 2.1.2 and Mavericks. When you disable it with the checkbox to listen back to the original, and then re-enable it, it seems to miss one click. The "playback" button stays...
