Just a note: there's a second generation 2i2 on the market these days. Looks the same, has a bit better specs and better instrument inputs. The first generation sometimes had analog clipping and distortion with very hot output guitars.
Is yours a first or a second generation?

Re: Import Codec: PCM S16 LE (araw)
Wrong extension? What was the original extension?
Looks like a .mod or midi file to me. VLC seems to play both.

Re: Audacity won't open because of Debbuging report
I open the audicity app and the first thing that appears is a debugging report. Whether I send a debugging report or cancel it, it disappears. Then if I try to open the app again the Debugging report appears again. And yes, I did download it from there. AFAIK, Audacity doesn't send reports. I think...

I've seen this problem too. But that was with a previous version of Audacity. Are you on the latest version (2.1.2)?

Re: Excessive drumbeat when recording LP
I don't see any attachments or sound clips. Me neither. But they were there before. I downloaded them... From the clips: - No digital or analog clipping - No apparent overload either, but I listened on laptop speakers. Sorry, didn't have anything else available. It's not clear what the problem is. ...

Re: Panasonic WM-61A - help with connecting things
Supposing you have a DMM, measure how much voltage your mic input supplies. Probably, it's 5V. That's sufficient. And you definitely need that resistor, or the power supply in your computer will eat the mic signal, lowering the audio level. That same power supply will also add noise. Add up the two,...

Re: what audio file to import into PPT 2011 slides?
That's easy enough to see... Apple is/was going consumer. Hence Garageband beside Logic. Final Cut X in stead of FC Pro. And so on. It's logical, as they have sold over a billion iOS devices. They tried to cater to pro's, while there were many more consumers out there. The pro's revolted a bit. But ...

Re: Need a little help with a Skype recording hack.
You got lucky. Audacity will typically refuse to work with a second sound program running at the same time. Sorry to budge in like this, but is this a Windows thing, or a Skype thing? Audacity is running as a second audio program all the time, since it's the external editor for a DAW in my setup. A...

Most of QT 7 Pro's features have been available in "normal" QT for years now. I think since Lion. But it can only save QT movies (.mov). It can still save m4v's (mpeg4) if you choose "export for ipad, iphone...". I suspect that using PowerPoint as a start is the source of your problem. It has a tend...
