Something is reproducing the error in the plist files. That's like wrestling a bear. Could it be Soundflower? Any chance there's a leftover from a JackOSX install?

Sometimes Core Audio prefs get corrupt and you need to trash them. Give this a try:

- Go to ~/Library/Preferences/Audio
- Delete com.apple.audio.DeviceSettings.plist
- Delete com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist
- Restart your Mac

It's an old trick. I've removed that plugin on dozens of installations in the past. It used to give better (more stable) latency for Avid setups, but that is over ten years ago. Let's say G5 era. Protools... :roll: You need to go on the hunt. Protools installs a kernel extension with "core audio" in the name. It ruins audio for all other DAW's.
