I think the Presonus Studiolive 16.4.2 is ASIO only on Win 10. IIRC, it also can use the USB2 audio class compliant driver, but that one is missing from Win 10.
And since Audacity doesn't do ASIO, for licensing reasons, that limits the options...

Re: Nyquist effects missing
Still sounds like a problem with keys to me...
But it's good to know it also seems to happen with factory supplied OSX installations. I've never trusted those

Re: Nyquist effects missing
FWIW... I've been tracking a similar problem for a number of years now. Apple has been building a new authorisation system. The two main goals are a better system for Apple Pay and one centralised logon for the different stores, the Apple developers site, the cloud and a number of other services, on...

Re: Hiss-trionics when Recording (2017)
The Tascam iXZ provides phantom power from 2 internal AA batteries. I suppose you put those batteries in? According to Tascam, it's only compatible with "iPhone3, iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPod Touch 1G,2G,3G, iPad1G and 2G". It should work with a Neewer BM700, as this is an electret mic. But that is, pro...

Re: Is the Behringer U-PHORIA UMC22 a good audio interface?
So the Midas and Xenyx preamps are significantly different, beyond just name? As Koz, said, there isn't a big difference between the two. The Xenyx are clean, low-noise and the reason why so many people love the Behringer mixers. The midas ones are equally clean and noiseless, but show a bit of cha...

Re: Pulsing sound in my recordings
This is one of the systems least likely to have noise problems like this. Usually, someone buys a cheapo USB adapter and it has trouble with the computer and starts making noises. That's not how yours works. The Presonus is USB Bus-powered... And no way to test with an external power supply. So the...

Re: ART USB Dual Pre digital artifact
Something like ROXUL SAFE'n'SOUND, but 4" in stead of 3": http://www.roxul.com/products/residential/products/roxul+safe'n'sound It's a thermal isolation board, common in building materials shops. Just not the most common 35 kg/m3, but a bit denser, at 40 kg/m3. 50 or 55 kg/m3 would be even better. I...

Re: ART USB Dual Pre digital artifact
Use mineral wool boards. Thickness: 10 cm or more. 55 kg per cubic meter density is ideal. More won't hurt, but will probably be a lot more expensive and the gain is minimal. Your average heat isolation material is only 35 kg per cubic meter. Much less efficient. A box-in-a-box is the best solution,...

Re: USB microphone with low recording level
The symptoms are not always the same. The AKG C451 works, or doesn't work mostly. But on my Sound Devices USB Pre, it would "motorboat" if you know that sound from a runaway amp. The Behringer takes one to two minutes to stabilize. Until thap happens, it seems to work, but it immediately craps out w...

Re: USB microphone with low recording level
It's an explanation of the problem in general. And I've come across the problem enough times myself to know what I'm talking about... I own several mics that don't perform to well with most USB powered interfaces, for reasons stated. A lot of AKG mics are known for pulling enough current to be a pit...
