Re: Menu flashing, will not save modified project

If the menu bar flashes, Core Audio thinks you have muted all audio. So I'm curious which other audio editor you've installed. OcenAudio?

Also, how have you uninstalled the previous ffmpeg?

Re: My audio sample

Your upload works fine. And your recording is fine too.

No annoying traffic noise, no hum. Maybe just a tiny bit of de-essing and background noise removal...

Re: Basic Recording with RME Fireface 800

First thing that springs up in my mind: after selecting the FF800 in Audacity, did you also select channels 7/8?

It's right next to the input selection dropdown (not in the prefs, but in the main Audacity window).

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise

Re: Can't play a WAV file

The codec is in ffmpeg, according to the docs. So ffmpeg should be able to translate.

But this is a codec for cellphone use. And I don't think it's in use anywhere without encryption. But I've been known to be wrong before :?

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise

The exact same board from your link is available from Chinese sellers for about half the price. Free shipping. There is nothing special about the schematic, as it is an application note from Analog Devices. I've also found a rough design for a USB 2 isolator. Looks that will cost a bundle. It needs ...

Yep, you're right!

I did forget about the change the Retina Mac came with. Sorry, will try to be less of a nuisance :o

Must have been one of the things why I stay away from Retina Macbooks...
