Put batteries in the player, as it doesn't seem to work on USB power. Then plug it in, turn it on and see if it shows in System settings/Sound.
If it doesn't show, it's probably a Windows only device. If it shows, it should show up in Audacity too...

Re: Does scarlett 18i20 work with Audacity
You're right, Gale. Sorry.
I got VST and ASIO confused. Now let's hope ASIO might just follow VST licensing?

Steinberg licensing is changing. It seems the latest ASIO version has 2 licenses: Commercial AND GPL. You might want to look into that.

Re: Recording DJ mix quality lost using DAC vs digital throu
The Behringer UCA202 is a USB 1.1 audio device. That driver is still present in Win 10. The Pioneer is a USB2 audio device. MS decided not to include that driver in Win 10, probably because the USB2 Audio class compliant standard is a bit of a mess. Audacity doesn't do ASIO out of the box, because o...

Re: Can't Get Rid of BM-800 Microphone Static ("White") Nois
The less-than-twenty-bucks (Neewer?) BM-800 is a bit of a hype right now. It's a simple 15 mm electret pretending to be a large diaphragm condenser and as such, works with 5V pip power too. Only, SN ratio and headroom are a bit worse on 5V than on 48V. And these mics are fairly noisy to start with. ...

Re: Agua Caliente
Audacity is my first resort when trouble shooting interfaces or converting weird audio files. A plugin management app would be great! For years, I have tried to keep one plugin folder. That's impossible. So I settled for 1 system wide VST plugins folder and a second one for Audacity and the same for...

Re: How to avoid sound discrepancies on a cardiode condenser
use a dynamic omni in stead of a cardio condenser... And since nobody makes a self-contained dynamic (moving coil) USB microphone, you'd be re-engineering your sound system with mixers, digitizers, etc. There are several, most rather poorly built. Like most USB mics. I agree a simple interface, let...

Download works here and now...
What's the mixing desk and the interface between it and the computer?
Sounds like loss of sync. USB?The audio is coming straight from the mixing desk and the crackling is not heard through the sound system.
