Re: Code for a Bell Tone
Illegal characters galore after pasting into the Nyquist prompt. Tried with the latest Chrome, Vivaldi 1.8.770.56 and the most recent Safari for Mavericks. All the same.

Re: System Audio Recorder not working
Could it be you had Adobe Audition installed in the past?
I seem to remember this "System audio recorder" coming with it.

Re: Audacity 2.1.3 dmg File Size Discrepancy
It's good to report anomalies...
But in this case, I think it is just the difference in counting bytes. Apple started counting 1 K bytes as 1.000 bytes. Other OS'es count this as 1.024 bytes. Hence the difference.
I don't remember exactly when Apple started doing this. Lion? Mountain Lion?

Re: 64-bit native
I'm not against Audacity having 64 bit as a native audio format...
BUT
That has nothing to do with your computer being 64 or 32 bit. Those are address ranges and play a role in how much ram can be put in your machine.
Even a 32 bit computer can handle 64 bit audio, if the software permits.

Re: Focusrite Saphire 14. Can't select correct input
In search of the holy grail, the interface with spdif on channels 1 and 2, you also need to know that the Kemper Profiling Amp can only work as master clock. Some interfaces might not be able to clock with it, or only clock when not using other ports, like ADAT ports. In fact, the spdif out on the K...

Re: Sound Card Reviews
That kind of interface will be very hard to find these days. When audio interfaces were new and expensive, some of the simpler 2 in, 2 out interfaces had that kind of setup. Default would be analog 1 & 2 in. A switch would permit to choose the extra spdif. Sometimes the switch would be automatic. Th...

Re: Level-dependant (dynamic) EQ?
My FIRST and obvious test would be to replace the Beta 56a with a dynamic. I'm guessing the interference you hear stems from an interaction between capsule and electronics. You can't overload the dynamic mics that are typically used for drums, like the AKGD12 or D112, the Senn DM21 or 421. So they'l...
