Re: no usb preference
I am a new user and the software has come with ezcap cassette music capture When trying to set up I notice there is no USB preference input option as suggested in the setup guide. A lot of these USB turntable and cassette players just have the wrong name in the manual. Your device might show up as ...

Re: Crashing on Yosemite
Smells like a graphics related bug. Possibly a font server error. Do you have MS Office* or Chrome** installed? * MS Office comes with MS fonts. A corruption of one of these could wreak havoc. ** Google Chrome has an updater running in the background. It's a buggy bastard. Your Mac has dual graphics...

Re: Numeric valor in amplify effect
This could be a very old and known hardware bug with some keyboards. Seems to happen to Adobe installers in the part where you type in the serial number. Problem happens only with numbers. Every other character works, but of course, the Audacity dialog only accepts numbers. You could try to type a d...

It would help us tremendously if you read the pink box just above your opening post...
Please provide at least Audacity version, OSX version and preferably also which model Logitech headset you are using.

Do you record in the same settings?Rheuz wrote:Nothing really matches up well though.
Not only the same room, but also the same distance to the mic, the same orientation of the recorder...
And which model of Tascam recorder are you using, with which settings, which mic(s)?

Re: Hum Removal
My Corsair headset is a USB connected device and as I said in my post, I get exactly the same outcome when using the Sennheiser headset which connects via the microphone/headphone sockets (the pink and green connectors) so I don't think it's relevant, sorry. Have you read the solution? If that is t...

Re: Clicking noise between tracks
I'm guessing this could be related to your setup. What are you using as microphone, audio interface, mixer etc?

Re: 2.1.1 Crash on startup - Yosemite 10.10.4
This is the strange thing - if I run a "repair permissions" on the harddrive, like before making a backup... Besides Audacity a few other programs had begun to crash in a similar manner while launching... Maybe here's your connection? If I understand correctly, you run repair permissions every time...

Re: Distorted sound while recording
If the needle pressure is too low, you'll get distortion because the needle is more or less floating in the groove. I've looked up the Audio Technica AT120. It seems one of the best in its class. But it has the old-fashioned tracking and anti-skate adjustments. Fortunately, cause it means you can ad...
