Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Window size not remembered
FWIW, this is the first time I've ever seen this issue. I've used various versions of Audacity in various sizes and haven't seen it until now, but maybe I just happened on the magic sizes each time. :) I can load the Sept 9th version along with the Oct 10 version and make them the same size, as well...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Window size not remembered
Hi Gale, It opens after deleting the cfg file with a time line range of -1.5 - 9 seconds. I normally expand it to about 13 seconds. My monitor on my MBP is 1440x900. Tried it on a different monitor 1280x1024 and it opened -1.5 - 8 seconds wide. I can expand the window then close the window and a new...

Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Window size not remembered
Opening Audacity 96d2e66-2.1.2-alpha-10-oct-15 gives a small window, about half my screen width. Same thing with Cmd-N for a new window if there is not already a window open that I have already dragged to the proper size. Every time I start this version of Audacity I have to stretch the window out t...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Zoom in moves cursor
Bug 1197 – Extreme zoomed in levels move view, losing cursor or selection has been fixed for Windows and Linux but it is still not quite right on Mac. The amount of view wandering is less now than it was, but you still lose the cursor or selection edge when zooming into maximum level on long tracks...

Gale,
That's quite the list of bugs. I'll test what I can.

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Zoom in moves cursor
Hi Gale, Just checking in to see if there are enough fixes yet to make it worth downloading a nightly build to test. Other than the known issues, focus, zoom, tool tips, etc. with the version you compiled, audacity-macosx-r5f985a2-2.1.2-alpha.zip, it has been solid for all I've done with it. Actuall...

Re: 2.1.1 Hangs and/or Crashes on Sound Activated Recording
Gale, Just noticed some things with 2.1.2A Tool Tips now work. I removed one tool bar and then restored it and then the tool tips started working. I suppose they may have started working earlier, but I probably would have noticed. Anyhow, thought you might be interested. Another thing, regarding the...

Re: Lock tool bar arrangement
Responding to Gale. In a perfect world. Users quite often change Preferences without realising it and don't take in messages properly. We don't get too many complaints about the jumping, which is not to say we shouldn't do something to improve it. I realize that none of us are perfect and we all som...

Re: Lock tool bar arrangement
Respnding to Gale: I would not be keen on the Locked Toolbar idea and popup, either, for the reasons Steve gave. I suspect if turned on simplistically on top of the current system it could be as annoying in its way as what we have now. I still like Steve's idea best, but I sense that I need to say s...
