Re: Macros crash in background
This happens with 2.3.0 in MacOS 10.13.6, but not with the latest 64bit Audacity 2.3.1 alpha build.

Re: New OS+New Audacity =glitching HELP
Though I am not using High Sierra at present I have used it and found three things that helped on my MacBook Pro. You have probably tried the first two, but wanted to list them anyway. 1. Reduced the buffer length to 20ms. 2. Turn off App Nap - only applicable if using a laptop. 3. Turn off the disp...

Re: Problems setting Audacity as default file type
Starting Audacity by double clicking on a file was broken in 2.1.3 in that Audacity didn't load the file even though it started. This has been fixed for 2.2.0 so this problem will go away when that comes out.

Re: Audacity 2.1.3 Alpha
Thanks for the explanation. As it is it's an irritation that I can live with, but I suspect I will not be the only one who will feel that way and not the only one that will wonder "WHY?". It happens whether the metadata is viewed or not during the export process. At least if the Metadata was not vie...

Exporting makes the project dirty (2.1.3-alpha)
Running OSx 10.11.4 on MacBook Pro. I've been noticing in version 2.1.3 alpha that there has been a change in the criteria for when the current project has changed so should be saved before closing. I see this when I have applied an effect then saved the project under a new name then exported the au...

Re: Stuttering recorded segment
Ok. My older one was a mid-2009 as well. Good machine. Went back and checked how long I've had this one and it's just over 3 months so it probably did happen once on the 2009. Guess we can toss out the speed idea.

Re: Stuttering recorded segment
Interesting. In the 3 times I've seen it I've not noticed it getting worse unless you mean more often which probably is the case here as well which really is strange if that is the case. My machine does have internet exposure, but I don't go to strange sites so wouldn't expect to have issues and vir...

Re: Stuttering recorded segment
Do you think any change in the Audacity recording buffer would affect it? I'm running the buffer at 15ms right now.

Stuttering recorded segment
In the last 6 months a very strange occurrence during recording has happened 3 times. A short segment of less than one second in length is repeated 3 or 4 times and the repeated segment gets longer and more clear with each repeat. I was there during the recording and the speaker did not do this. Thi...
