clicks and dropouts playing Soundflower recordings
I'm running OS X 10.9.5 on an iMac 23.5 inch and using Audacity 2.0.6. I obtained it from the dmg installer. I'm getting major stutter-like dropouts during playback after recording sound off the Internet, plus some clicking noise. Sounds fine during record, though I think I can hear some clicking, t...

Re: How do I raise input levels or increase waveform?
Hi, Steve and Gale, Sorry for such a long delay in responding! I lost track of this site and only just now rediscovered it! Sadly, I am still experience the same problem with low input levels. Increasing the volume on the web site doesn't really solve my problem. Even at full volume on the web site ...

Re: How do I raise input levels or increase waveform?
The audio on the various sites (e.g. YouTube) are always set to maximum, and it's plenty loud when listening to it normally. Just not very in Audacity during record mode.

How do I raise input levels or increase waveform?
iMac, 21.5 inch OSX 10.9.4 Audacity 2.0.6 Two different, but related, questions. 1) When recording a web site and with the input levels in Sound preferences jacked up full, the signal levels on Audacity read just a tad bit low, generally peaking around -12dB. I know I can adjust the input on the sli...

Re: Screen does not scroll with cursor during record/playbac
Thanks Bill! I looked at the Preferences about 20 times but somehow that checkbox listing didn't "click" when I saw it.

Sound levels low
Audacity 2.0.6 iMac 21.5 inch OSX 10.9.4 Soundflower In order to get a decent sound level (and good sized waveform) I have both the input and the output levels in the Mac preferences jacked up to maximum. Is this normal? My older version of Audacity didn't seem to require this much output level and ...

Screen does not scroll with cursor during record/playback
Audacity 2.0.6 OSX 10.9.4 iMac 21.5 inch 3.1 GHz Intel processor Audacity records and plays back OK but the screen does not follow along with the cursor. It stays stuck at the beginning and I can only see the recording in playback if I move the scroll bar at the bottom manually. Is this a bug or is ...

Re: Recordings on playback choppy, skipping
21.5-inch iMac OSX 10.9.4 Audacity 2.0.6 Had a horrible skipping problem after years of trouble free use with older Audacity. I tried everything including slowing the sampling rate to 16 bit but nothing worked. Then saw this post and changed the buffer to 50 and the skipping was gone, but there was ...
