How do you open a project without a .aup file?

Friend of mine just gave me some audio he wants editing from a while back, all he has is the project folder, not the actual project file, how can I import this into audacity? All the options seem to want files, not folders.

Re: Which tool to remove voice crackle in audio?

Ah I've had this problem before when accidently recording in 60FPS when my computer couldn't handle it, a little weird it happened this time, nothing was strenuous, and it only screwed with my mic audio, not any of the others. Though I did record on a HDD I don't usually record to, maybe that partic...

Which tool to remove voice crackle in audio?

I recorded a DnD session with some friends recently, and I'm not sure why... I think I may have knocked my microphone and made the USB connection a little loose near the end, because on a couple instances my voice is extremely distorted (Using a Blue Snowball, recorded with OBSstudio and then conver...

Anyway for Audacity to read .flv files?

Using Audacity 2.1.2, installed using the .exe.

Just wondering is it possible to make audacity read .flv files? I have a .flv file I want to extract the audio from to a .wav if possible.

Re: How can I iron out a 'bitty' sound in my recording?

Okay I finally got something working so I want to thank you both very much, I've been able to do 10 minutes at a time.. which bizarrely ranges from 2 to 4 hours to finish... but it's fine, the end result isn't perfect but it sure makes the noise less obnoxious by far, and without affecting anything ...

Selection Question

Silly question but if I want to select the first 10 minutes of a project, I put in all zeros in Selection Start, change the button to 'length' instead of 'end', and put 10 minutes in the second box. So if I want to select the next ten minutes do I put 00h 10m 00.001 s in the start box and then 20m i...

Re: How can I iron out a 'bitty' sound in my recording?

Sorry for the bump, I just tried this several times, twice with your settings, once with the default.. the program keeps crashing about 10% in. No message, it just turns itself off. My computer's pretty good (i5 quad core, 12 gigs of ram, Windows 7 64bit) and I'm letting the computer do it without i...

Re: How can I iron out a 'bitty' sound in my recording?

The microphone was plugged directly into my computer's USB, no Hubs. I'll try the declicker, thanks. :) On further analysis I was quick to judge Dxtory, it seems it was happening because of the game... somehow. We were playing The Binding of Isaac rebirth, we tried another recording with Fraps and A...

How can I iron out a 'bitty' sound in my recording?

My cousin and I just used Dxtory for the first time to record microphone audio while playing and recording a game, and it seems that was a mistake. We thought it would be convenient but the audio quality is much worse than when we just used audacity. Our voices are clear and so is the game audio fro...

Re: Audacity 2.0.6, slight length inconsistency

But milliseconds was part of it... it's just everything was at zeros, perhaps I should try 'length' instead of 'end'?
