Bug in "timer record"
I set "timer record" for 2:10 hours the next morning. Twenty minutes or so after it should have stopped, I found it was still recording. It said "recording time 2:10," "elapsed time 54 min," "remaining 1:15," but if you looked at the scale on the waveforms it was happily recording on at 2:25 min. I ...

The file opened this time. Could have been because I upgraded from 1.3.6 to 1.3.7, or perhaps, now that I think about it, on the previous attempt the file may have been on a USB drive & this time I copied it to the internal hard drive before trying to open it. In any case, thanks!

"Audio cache" was not checked. I was using 1.3.6, will try 1.3.7. Thanks! Good to hear from someone who knows something!

Using 1.3 Beta Unicode on XP machine with 111GB drive. And this mp3 file works -- I've played the whole thing on my iPod. Maybe I don't have enough RAM (512MB) -- but then how would I have been able to record this in the first place? I recorded and then exported to mp3 without saving it in any other...

opening mp3 files in Audacity
Often if I open a long mp3 file with Audacity, even one that was created with Audacity previously, only the first 50 seconds or so appears. But if I open the same file in Windows Media Player, I get the whole thing.
