Re: I'm melting!

Aye, no central A/C, just the window units.

At this point I think I'll just have to strap an ice-pack on my head. ;)

Cheers.

Re: I'm melting!

Thanks for the ideas.

It is a hall closet (one of 4) and has crawl space above.

And yes, Mid City 1920's Art Deco top duplex.

Cheers.

I'm melting!

Greetings, so I'm fortunate enough to have an audio closet now. The room is 5' x 5' x 8'. My only remaining hurdle is it could also double as a sauna. I close the door and a few seconds later it hits 90 and starts rising. Therefore, I can't stay in there for any length of time. Has anybody found an ...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

Koz, how did you know the best tea comes from the Midlands fields? That was supposed to be secret! :P Robert, I believe I still have the raw projects saved so that is good to know, it will save me some time if I don't have to re-do them. :) I've not yet had a crash from the de-clicker so yes, I'd re...

Fantastic voice teachers.

Greetings, I've been given so much help from this forum's members and I'd like to give something back. :) Let's start a list of those generous, talented people who share their tips via YouTube and / or their sites. Top of my list, absolutely most definitely, is Amy Walker. As far as we know, no rel...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

Robert! What a generous gent you are. Thank you so very much. Would you recommend that I start over in order to ensure consistency or just apply your tool to what I've done so far (foreword and first five chapters)? And is there anything I can help you with in return? I've already offered to help Ko...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

Koz, thanks for the reply. The data folder is in there. I saved directly to my OneDrive. And good, that is what I did already, suit on one wall, sweater on the other and the comforter on the door (which has the most free surface and is behind me). As for the spectral tests, they were requested of me...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

/snip There is, as usual, a trick. Crumple a sheet of LA Times in front of you in the studio — roughly where your head normally is. That's as close to "white noise" as you can get with a tool you can buy at 7-Eleven/Tesco. I have samples of this test (somewhere) and I use it to indicate differences...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

Rob, I did put up a link to the pictures a few posts back but you must have missed it. The room is 5x5x8.
