Hi Tracy,
Does the 2i2 appear within Mac system preferences or is not showing here either? Is the green USB light illuminated on the front of the 2i2?
All the best,
Miles

Re: My recording is skiping....:(
Hi there,
As Gale said, please try installing Class Compliant mode. To do this, please go to the following link, select the 2i2/2i4 and download the ClassCompliantMode.App.Zip file.
Then run/install the script and restart.
Let me know if this resolves the issue!
Best,
Miles

Re: Need Help Recording
Hi guys, If this problem is still persisting, perhaps you get in touch with myself and some colleagues regarding technical support? This sounds like quite an unusual issue. However, I can assure you that our drivers have been bench tested and are fully functional on Windows 8. http://uk.focusrite.co...

Re: Recordings on playback choppy, skipping
Hi Guys,
well...there you have it! From what you symptoms you provided there, it does seem that you might achieve a higher stability by going into Class Compliant mode - of course, it can be reversed at any point by simply reinstalling drivers, should you want to!
Cheers,
Miles

Re: Recordings on playback choppy, skipping
Hi all, So if you are running OSX Mavericks, you will want to put your Scarlett interface into Class Compliant Mode. This essentially runs the unit using Apples Core Audio Driver (as opposed to the native driver) which generally produces a more-stable result. Head over to Focusrite.com/downloads>Sel...

Re: No 'front line in' option new laptop to digital piano
Hi Guys, Our interfaces are compatible with USB3.0 ports and Audacity. In the past, I have occasionally seen some issues caused by connecting to USB3.0 Ports. This is mainly due to the inconsistencies between chipset manufacturers - Generally these can be resolved with updating chipset drivers. It i...

Re: Scarlett 2i2 question
Hi Guys, I'm not going to give you any biased opinions, just a few facts. 1) Rather than wiring Outputs to Inputs, some of our Scarlett interfaces have loopback which is doing the same task internally and generally does a much cleaner, safer job than hard-wiring. For example, our Scarlett 8i6 has vi...

Hi there, I've just a read through your PC specs and they look totally fine for use with one of our Scarlett interfaces. On a further note, the 2i4 ships with Ableton Live Lite which is great for MIDI as well as audio! If you have any further questions, please free to contact us at http://uk.focusri...
