Re: Audio video synch mysteries

Thanks for the suggestion.

I think I tried this already
will try again.

That is not the end of the file
and if I remember correctly
it will chop off the file at 22 minutes
cutting the last 38 minutes.

I believe my first try was on whole file
but it did not synch audio w video.

Re: Audio video synch mysteries

Following last failed procedure
I have located a bit of silence
broken by sound
on the Audacity audio file it is 0h 23m 19s 128ms
on the video in Filmora it is 0h 22m 19s 240ms

What should the Tempo value be?

Believe me I have tried.

Re: Audio video synch mysteries

Tried 0.000999
and -0.000999
neither worked
did I get my number right?
1000 / 1001

I think the LG combo machine just digitizes what is on the screen
and gets audio from ???

Do you think I could avoid the synch problem
by recording the sound from the VHS separately?
Not exactly sure how to do it.

Re: editing vobs

Filmora edits on 25 fps scale can output about whatever you want. I am guessing if the lip/action is at 00:00:25:05:24 on the video, the audio, as seen in audacity, using 25 fps scale should be there too. Current plan: the speed of the audio seems to have been altered in production? so that what is ...

Re: editing vobs

Ok I have the video in Filmora 1 second by their clock, marker at every 5 frames I can count 25 frames in the 1 second So I am thinking this was shot by bbc in PAL 25 frames per second and "transformed" into NTSB at a speed of 30 frames per second for the yanks the frames seem to be fixed so the oth...
