Re: Settings confusion after using Sunflower
Mac V10.6.8 , Audacity V2.0.5 I should have stated the Mac system sound and the Audacity Output and Input devices all have Soundflower 2ch and 4ch. I didn't mention them because I know the answer does not include them. Basically, what happened was I installed Soundflower and randomly changed these t...

Settings confusion after using Soundflower
V2.0.5 After installing and using Sunflower (in order to record off the internet), I have forgotten my output and input device settings (and maybe my Mac's sound settings). I thought I understood it all, so I didn't write it down. Apparently, I'm a proven dummy now. For Mac sound, I have either inte...

Re: Cannot open Audacity after clicking on the Nyquist optio
The offer remains open for you download 2.0.6-alpha and find an undocumented way to make it freeze up. ;) Gale I appreciate the offer, but I'm done with this round of work with Audacity, and I'm not the adventurous type. It really is a nice program, along with this forum of course! I'm 61 and never...

Re: Cannot open Audacity after clicking on the Nyquist optio
The only way I can repeat this freeze in 2.0.5 is to drag Audacity.app out of its "Audacity" folder. If you did that, put Audacity.app back. That was the problem. I had taken the app out of the folder but left it in Applications. After I dragged the folder and the app onto my desktop, then put the ...

Re: Cannot open Audacity after clicking on the Nyquist optio
I followed the advice from Gale's stickypost in the MacOS area (Installation: Do NOT run Audacity from the DMG!!!! ). I repaired permissions, but this had no effect. I still cannot open Audacity to uncheck the Nyquist box. I don't really want any sound effects anyway. Can I simply delete the Audacit...

Cannot open Audacity after clicking on the Nyquist option
And I did follow the advice about not using the DMG when I upgraded to V2.0.5. I have V2.0.5 and have been using it. However, my previous version, when opened, gave the critical nyquist files warning, so I unchecked that option in preferences. I assume the upgrade to 2.0.5 kept that unchecked. So I ...

Re: Two bugs (or at least programming related issues) to V2.
I guess I forgot to click on notify when reply is posted. I was avoiding itunes just to save a step. I'll use itunes for any disc with more than 9 tracks. Yes, in finder the tracks are listed in proper order, but within audacity, file>import does it as 1, 10, 11, 2, 3... . My experience with draggin...

Re: Two bugs (or at least programming related issues) to V2.
I'm using Mac V10.6.8. Importing direct from the CD are .aiff format files, not .wav. But is it possible to program within audacity to look at the highest number, note the number of digits, then add leading zeros? Like it reads there are 11 tracks, so it would make 1 into 01, etc. Like I said, it's ...

Two bugs (or at least programming related issues) to V2.0.5
While importing commercial CDs directly from the CD (rather than importing to itunes then to audacity), I noticed two issues. My procedure is to use the Import>audio command, highlight all tracks within an album listed in Finder, then import. I then tracks>align tracks> end to end. Then I generate>s...
