The 60Hz & harmonics thereof are via magnetostriction,
like the hum from mains electricity transformers (which have no moving parts).

Mix to mono will remove all stereo effects, be they deliberate or accidental.

Maybe this would a lot easier to fix with the De-esser plugin but I don't know how to remove the thuds with it .
