A possible explanation is the 50Hz hum is on the recording and the tape is running a little slow. It is possible to notch-out the 49Hz peak, (using the...

There's only a slight bit of distortion now Sorry IMO there are far more instances of distortion on this remix than in the original, the level of the piano is too high. I’m not sure if this is relevant but I’m ...

Re: Enhancing digital piano sound
Distorted at 28.5 -29.5 seconds, (and elsewhere). Your treble boost is too much IMO : sounds like you've got a hissing gas leak :) I. Cut back the levels to stop the distortion. 2. try a stereo widener rather than boosting treble for more 'space' ... Before-After 'stereo widener' -8db 18ms.mp3 The s...

I may have got the mono-stereo transition advice the wrong way round, the attached example starts (pseudo)stereo and ends mono ... (pseudo)Stereo to Mono ('and the winner is' background).mp3 The heartbeat does sound more "in-your-face", (closer), towards the mono end. (BTW example derived from this ...

Re: Making ufo sound in far distance
No-one said anything about coming in to land ...
Same as my scratch built UFO but with Audacity's "sliding time scale/Pitch shift" applied,
(I can't remember if 1.2 has that effect}

Steps 1-3 above, plus some delay when the UFO was distant.
