Re: noise remove

If your show is people talking and the "noise" is people talking in the background, That's not noise. All those people are performers and you can't separate them.

Re: notch filter?

The only fault I can hear is the level of noise (hiss) is quite high, This type of broadband noise cannot be removed with a notch filter. Noise reduction can reduce it, (see attached mp3), but like you've found it will distort the sound to some degree. You’d be better off looking at the settings on ...

Re: Censoring a recording with a sound effect instead of a t

Can use "Repair", also in effects menu, to seamlessly join the ends of the reversed section with the track. Just reverse enough of the word to make it i...

Re: Best settings for reel-to-reel to digital?

One problem: the tapes are so old that (playback in stereo mode on the reel-to reel) it's picking up the other side of the tapes (other channel is audible and therefore backwards.) Print-through (sometimes referred to as bleed-through) is a generally undesirable effect that arises in the use of mag...

Re: Not getting same result as others w/ Samson GO Mic - bas

... what happens is when I use words with certain letters, e.g. G, B, N, long M's (like ummm..), then the sound will distort. I have the mic set to omni mode, when I make a video I pop it on a cardboard box Just occurred to me the cardboard box may be acting as a resonator: try something solid like...

Re: Clap Hands for Cleaner Sound

The airport "after" Postfish is much better than my attempt with Kn0ck0ut.
Listening made me want to try out Postfish, only to find it's Linux only :(

[I planned to make my PC dual boot Windows Linux, but haven't got round to it yet]
