Re: Pitch Bend Effect Please?
I don't really like the audacity version. The audio is kind of crappy The "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift" effect in Audacity 1.3.12 is an improvement over previous versions. Alternatively you could try the free “ Blue cat chorus ” (or similar effect), e.g. blue cat chorus effect used t...

Re: CONDENSER MICROPHONE PROBLEM
I'm already incandescent light bulbs free (for nearly 3 years since I moved to new place). Have you fallen down the stairs yet in the gloom during the 30 seconds the fluorescents take to reach full brightness ? [lighting stairs and smallest room are the reasons for my incandescent stash, hopefully ...

Re: How do I avoid aliasing artifacts on glissando effect ?
I think I can see where the problem is, but this is a pretty weird effect. Try this modified version - it's not exactly a "fix" for the problem, more of a "hack" to see if I'm looking in the right place. Yes that's much better: the artifacts are a fraction of what they were ... ...

How do I avoid aliasing artifacts on glissando effect ?
I’m trying to create sliding pitch effects (speed-up and slow-down) using David Sky’s “turntable warping” plug-in (available here ). The results would be perfect but for the (aliasing?) artifacts , which are particularly bad after 5 sec on this example … aliasing artifacts on glissando.wav [this sin...

Re: CONDENSER MICROPHONE PROBLEM
Are you volunteering to repair his microphone with European, Lead-Free, Soul-der? I've still got some 40% lead stuff, (and a stash of 100 Watt incandescent light bulbs which have also been banned by the European eco-warriors ). Solder is usually the way to go, however a cold alternative is conducti...

Re: CONDENSER MICROPHONE PROBLEM
In Europe solder is now lead free, (and is pronounced soul-der not saw-der).kozikowski wrote:Those are generally held together with solder -- hot melted lead and tin with a rosin cleaning agent.

Re: Guitar to USB problem!!
The cable didn't even have an enclosure for the A/D converter electronics!! Even I wonder as to if that cable was supposed to work with a guitar or not!! Got that exchanged for the 3.5mm cable anyways!! I believe a USB socket only accepts digital data … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usb The ¼” jack ...

Re: Amplifying Vocal Track
I have a Mac though, so can I still use Windows Plug-Ins??? I'll check it out and find out. No The Audacity page I linked to above suggests the free Brainworx_solo plug-in for Mac users. http://www.brainworx-music.de/en/plugins/bx_solo there may be a 14 day limit with the “free” braiworx plug-ins. ...
