Re: How might I do an approximation of Lady Gaga effects?
An effect intermittently used on Lady GaGa’s vocal on that track is similar to a telephone effect . (use the equaillzer to only pass frequencies in the range 300Hz to 7000Hz, (rather than 300 to 3000Hz), and only apply this bandpass effect to your vocal, not the whole track). 'show them what i've go...

Re: Background noise only when exporting
Apparently Queequeg731 has found the cure, but has responded in the thread I suggested rather than this one.

Re: Background noise only when exporting
A totally silent, (flat line), WAV will gain a faint (-70db) hiss when exported as MP3 if you don't switch off dither in Audacity's preferences.

Re: Changing tempo and "wobble"
Try the "sliding time scale/pitch shift" effect but leave the pitch shifts on zero,
the result is less distorted (wobbly/stuttery) than using "Change tempo without changing pitch" effect.
A comparison of these two effects is attached.

Re: separating tracks once they have been merged, an saved
If you are concerned that a watermark sound you have added to a stereo track can be removed by the destructive interference method , make the watermark slightly different on each channel so they won’t cancel out when one track is inverted. For example add plenty of stereo reverb with crossover to th...

One thing I had difficulty with was the delay in Audacity. I tried to set 15ms but the lowest I could go was .01s . 0.01 seconds is 10ms there were other settings such as # of echoes that I left at the default. The default setting on Audacity's delay for # of echoes is 5, if you only want one (&quo...

Re: Mixing a Live Band from a Zoom H4n Stereo Recording?
woke up this mornin.ogg Your fictional blues club is bigger than mine. The bass can be tightened up (made less muddy) while retaining most of the low bass by just cutting frequencies around 200-250Hz. With the benefit of hindsight (or should that be hindhearing) I’ve overcompensated and cut too muc...

This uses the same equalization as above and some stereo effects (including stereo widener and "fat" reverb) for that blues-club sound...

Re: Mixing a Live Band from a Zoom H4n Stereo Recording?
Demo2 has the bass boost. I don't think there is anything I can do for the weak sounding guitar. Don't boost the bass: it's too bassy/muffled already. Try boosting the mid/high frequencies, say everything above 500Hz by about +10db, (then apply "Amplify") , e.g. equalization curve suggest...
