Re: Making Cut/paste edits in my audio creates artificial clicks

Re: Could you please help me reverse the volume?
... when I applied the effect twice, it didn't revert to normal... just have to ask; Why did that happen if double negative is positive? The KONTRAST plugin is only capable of an approximation of inverting spectrogram . (In a true negative the darkest parts would become the brightest, and vice vers...

Re: Could you please help me reverse the volume?
The (free) " KONTRAST " plugin can boost quiet sounds and attenuate loud sounds at the same time ... before-after KONTRAST.png OK for electronic music, but not much else because of the digital-artefacts generated. (Possibly useful to make faint background clicks & hum conspicuous, so t...

Re: Clicks not showing up on waveform
The clicks on the example you posted are mechanical The clicks sound like the mic diaphragm suddenly flexing, having been tensioned by previous plosives, like a spring-loaded mouse-trap being triggered, (in this case the trap is intermittently reset by plosives). Now Tylertrue1 has replaced his 35$...

Re: Clicks not showing up on waveform
So, good news. After a month, 3 high end microphones, 2 different PCs, multiple DAWs, an iPhone and messing around with the buffer settings for a week, I finally figured out what the problem was - my cell phone ... The clicks on the example you posted are mechanical, rather than electromagnetic int...

[In Arnold Schwarzenegger voice] Behold ... the Desibilator, (attached). This 'desibilator' plugin is Paul Licameli's 'DeEsser.NY' just with different default-settings, different slider-ranges, & has tips added to the UI. Previously the default frequency-range was not wide enough: it stopped at ...

Re: EQ problem
So I did my first attempt this morning but didn't notice much difference in the final results when applied. There's still a noticeable timbre difference and the edit is obvious ... Steve made a plugin which will match frequency-responses, (a/k/a EQ scraping) , see ... https://forum.audacityteam.org...
