Now I get it : it's not a recording of a wedding, it’s a song you want to play at a wedding.

Isn’t that song available on a Matt Cardle / X-factor download/album ?, (presumably without whistling or applause) .

You're right, no mention of video in the original post, but they did mention that it was a wedding.

I suspect that video recording of weddings will be more common than sound only recordings.

Either maunally using amplify or the envelope tool,
or automatically using dynamic range compression.

I have some music tracks in a format that I can only play in Winamp if using a plugin. I can't play them in Audacity due to this, is there a way around this? You could play the weird format track using Winamp and have Audacity record the sound ... http://audacityteam.org/help/faq?s=recording&i=...
