Re: Problem with my Ssss (sample recording included)
To remove this sss (sibilance) is called de-essing . There are de-esser plug-ins, (including Spitfish which is free). However de-essing can be crudely done using equalization: by putting broad notches around 4KHz and 8Kz (approx) ... Equalization curve used to de-ess 'in order to maximize the sound'...

Re: Fixing volume/pitch differences between recordings?
Unfortunately neither solution worked. I’ve tried to replicate your problem (below) and the equalization trick works for me: (below I’ve moved the vertical bit of the equalization “curve” away from the vertical axis so it is clearer) the near-vertical red line on the equalization graph is the impor...

Re: latency problem
Upgrading to 1.3. is recommended , but I don't think it will solve your delay problem ... Note that using a USB microphone is not the best way to record overdubs. These microphones are great for podcasters who just want to record their voice and are not worried about syncing to music. The problem w...

Will get out the tutorial and see what I can learn (never been good at reading manuals - much more hands on) It's one of those operations where a video is better able to show how ...
