Re: Improving quality audio from a video.
Can you remove the noise of my record(complete original record and project at http://db.tt/7HsX70N ) a record in video how you have do it. To I understanmd better how you do it. The buzz noise cannot be removed because it is too prominent (too strong), also the voice fades-out (gets quieter) & ...

Re: New plug-in effect - PopMute
2) Please tell me how to remove/reduce the kick drum in the attached mp3. When I tried all the different extremes for "Click Removal", the kick drum didn't change. That track does not lend itself to using pop-mute to remove the bass drum: on that track the bass drum does not produce peaks...

Re: Removing Music
I’m assuming the spoken word is mono but all the music stereo. My idea was to make an envelope (control track) to silence all the (stereo) music using amplitude modulation then truncate silence, leaving speech only. To make the envelope (control) track .. Split a copy of the podcast to dual mono, in...

Re: Removing Music
If the spoken word is mono, but the music stereo, it may be possible to automatically remove the music.

Re: Mix and Render -> clipping
If Audacity automatically limited levels so clipping could never occur this could cause problems:
say there was a track which only had a solo, which came in part-way through a multi track mix,
with the automatic limiting you have suggested the soloists volume would be way too low.

Re: Audio mix to DVD
You need video editing software to do that, Audacity only edits sound, not video. see ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_editing_software If you have a Microsoft Windows Operating System, "Windows (live) movie maker", made by Microsoft, is a very common video editor, and ...

Re: Dynamically change pitch
Experimenting with Audacity 1.3 "time track" or "sliding time scale/pitch shift" "Effect" could approximately correct changes in pitch.
[BTW "Dynamically change pitch" is what autotune software does ].

Re: Improving quality audio from a video.
Step 1: obtained the correct noise profile, (noise only), Step 2: set the noise reduction to somewhere in the range 5 - 15 dB, (a 10dB example is attached). If a very high value is used in noise reduction , (a 48dB example is attached), the sound becomes distorted like your example . Original , then...

Re: Get rid of white noise in background?
Audacity's noise reduction should help, (set the noise reduction as low as possible, typically around 10dB) http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Noise_Removal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlKX6p85R2M In a bass recording you may also be able to cut back the high frequencies in Audacity's ...
