Re: Options for recording with audacity?

Can't i just convert the tracks i have straight to mp3 ? If you created the mix in Audacity you can save it as an MP3*, saving to a format other than Audacity's own format is called "Export": click on the "File" drop down menu (top left) and select "Export". Then selec...

If the spikes are well beyond the rest of the envelope the (free) "popmute" plug-in is worth a try.

Re: Making loops out of phonemes

" Paul stretch " (free) will do the aaaaaah eeeee stuff: example by moi here ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=99614#p99614 "Paul stretch" also has a freeze option which makes the sound go on indefinitely rather than just stretched. Audacity has "change tempo...

Unfortunately you can't change the colour scheme 8-) other than changing the spectrogram to greyscale, (i.e. black & white, no colour).

Re: embedding wavs into powerpoint

Possible solution : "Slidecast" with slideshare ... http://www.slideshare.net/jboutelle/slidecasting-101 [BTW for some reason I can't get slideshare to work on FireFox, could just be me though] Open office “impress” does allow audio with slides, but the audio is not "embedded" in...

Re: Moment 4 Life Censor?

Moment 4 Life, before-after the word 'songs'' censored with 'turntable warp' in Audacity.mp3 similar effect but not quite the same as the music is also warped, not just the vocal, (see my previous post). It may be possible to improve on this if there is a bit of the looped music without vocal somew...

Re: Moment 4 Life Censor?

How many minutes into the song is the effect? Koz Here's a sample from 2:13 to 2:20 ... Moment 4 Life (Clean) - exerpt with censorship warps.mp3 is possible (in Audacity) to censor a song using that method. Where like it sounds like a DJ scratch? Yes and no. On the Youtube “clean” version the warp ...

Re: Raspiness filter?

It's an Xbox 360 headset. I can't afford good equipment at the moment. The phone effect isn't due to the microphone, its due to a low (8KHz) sample rate on the software you've used to record or process the sound. The sample rate can usually be adjusted by the user to a higher rate, e.g. 2...

Re: Raspiness filter?

You’ve not given us a lot to work with : it sounds like it was recorded on a narrow bandwidth device like a mobile phone, or digital voice recorder on a low sample rate (~8KHz). I’ve aged you about 25 years but it still sounds like you’re on the phone … 'Andros' (on phone), before-after-after.mp3 Yo...
