Re: Removing tiny 'cracks' from vinyl rips
The equalization you suggested didn't remove the clics/cracks/parasites :-/ I didn't claim it would: removing that trebley noise makes them more visible on the spectrogram . Something has gone wrong when you captured that vinyl to produce the loud fizzy noise at 9-10kHz. Try the RIAA equalization c...

Re: Removing tiny 'cracks' from vinyl rips
I have been trying the spectorgram tools and watched the video but that seems a bit complicated for me. I tried the equalizer for some noises too and it worked for a noisy segment. Now I have some static/interferences I can't figure out how to remove. Reduce the spectrogram FFT window-size to 128 t...

Free valhalla plugins
I just checked the free valhalla-supermassive plugin works in Audacity on Windows* https://valhalladsp.com/shop/reverb/valhalla-supermassive/ It does realistic room-reverb, chorus & flanging, but its USP is ridiculously long (minutes) reverb-delay special-effects, https://youtu.be/so4myM0ERbc?t=...

Re: Removing tiny 'cracks' from vinyl rips
I have used the spectogram view to locate the missing cracks and it quite worked well. ... Though there are still extremely tiny cracks I can percieve but not locate ... If you can hear them they will be visible on the spectrogram, but you may have to adjust the spectrogram settings to see them. Wh...

Andrew Reeman's "Spectral Gate" is a similar (free) plugin which can increase (& decrease) the contrast of the spectrogram ... https://youtu.be/1JYEtygN1RE Increasing the contrast is effectively noise-reduction, but you don't need a noise-profile. The most recent version, (2.0.3. , &q...

There are (free) plugins which increase the contrast of the spectrogram, like LEVELS & KONTRAST.

Re: Audio Feedback request
We were going along nicely when suddenly, a noticeable constant background buzz started up in the middle of recording. (See the first clip I'm attaching - evil sound.) "evil sound" has gain-pumping: hiss&hum increases when the person stops speaking. That's usually due to a compressor ...
