Bass = low frequencies = sounds below 200Hz (approximate)

There is a “Bassboost” effect, in the “Effect” drop down menu , or you could push up the sliders around 50-150Hz in the equalizer .

don't bother opening it, just save a copy of the (.NY) file to the Audacity plug-in folder.

Re: frequency elimination/dampening using nyquist

Maybe use the cymbal noise (on its own) as the "noise profile" for "noise reduction".

don't get your hopes up though , the result may be too distorted.

Re: Lost audio, a heartfelt plea for some help please?

... I also just phoned someone who mentioned Stellar Phoenix, software that may recover lost files. If you are using Windows (XP, Vista, 7) there is a free program called Recuva which can recover files which have been deleted IF they have not been overwritten … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recuva A...

Re: Mic to iPod touch, 4g?

The connector has 3 rings . This is an external mic ...

only two of these four connectors will be required for the (mono) mic.

Re: Wierd Sound with Microphone..

Bonus track using Colonel Trebor's secret blend of 4 different effects , (although none of them hiss noise reduction, which it does need)

Godwinlee wrote:Voice Recording (i selected this one)
But you are recording guitar music, not voice (a.k.a. speech).

Echo cancellation is only used on voice recording (VOIP, e.g. Skype), try UNselecting "Voice Recording" in "microphone enhancements".
