I think you need to disable "record what you hear" (or equivalent) , in "Recording devices" ... ... the feedback echo is severe, that makes me think you are recording "what U hear" or "stereo mix" instead of the input you are actually recording from such as a ...

The problem is that this software is not seeing that or picking up that theres sounds being playing from a tape If you're using a (microsoft) Windows operating system, (statistically you probably are), you have to enable the device you want to record from in Windows recording devices for audacity t...

So any sound above 0dB in that chart, should be considered as a clipping,? There is small margin of error: you may get away with a little over 0dB without clipping distortion. For some reason, I can't get the same sound quality as in that guy's video. What tools should I use on audacity to fix this? e.g. compressor, equalization, normalize, reverb, leveler?
