Re: Can I expand a waveform display vertically?

Spectrogram view is worth a look if you are trying to align notes.

Re: Ability to "Save" Pan Settings in a Stereo Track

... I tried it with extreme panning.... and it worked! My pan exported was not "extreme" ... Windows can add a playback audio-enhancement which introduces crossover between left & right. That would prevent you hearing any extreme panning. You can check whether Windows is applying an e...

Re: Troubles with Audacity 2.4.2 and Loudmax Plug-in

... I also downloaded the Loudmax plug-in ... is an alternative maximiser which will work with Audacity? LoudMax is just a (brickwall?) limiter with make-up gain. Audacity has one of those built-in ... https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/limiter.html (Use the "hard" rather than "soft...

Re: Mysterious problem with Audacity and panning - Please help!

... As for the Couture program, that is a plugin I can use in Audacity? Do you suggest I use that and TDR Nova after mastering the audio in Audacity? ... Both TDR Nova & Couture plugins are free, and will run on Audacity on Windows, (NB: Currently only the 32-bit versions of plugins will work i...

Re: Audio sounds slight reverb/echo

... It does sound a little.....empty I guess to me? Not echo-y per se, but maybe a slight reverb ... There is a hollowness, which, ( as Koz mentioned ), could be due to noise-reduction, or reflections from hard surfaces in your booth, (e.g. desktop). The hollowness is fixable with equalization. The...

Re: Resolving Noise Floor at "-inf DB" ??

There is no fix for echoes. "Big Room" sounds are permanent, so you have to not make them during the recording ... Store-bought $oftware can reduce room-reverb, but the cure is almost as bad as the disease ... 'AWS', before-after dereverb.flac The real cure is to treat acoustically-treat ...

Just generate a very faint (-70dB) Brownian noise track the same length as your reading.

Optional: AutoDuck the noise track with the vocal of you only want noise when you are not speaking.
