Re: Anyone Know if "EZ Mix" is Compatible w/AUD....

If you really need speed Mr Pie, and you've got the ca$h, paid-for sound-editors will allow you to adjust effects in real time, (while the sound is playing), see here, which is a much quicker method than Audacity effect preview.

Re: Anyone Know if "EZ Mix" is Compatible w/AUD....

The EZ mix free demo (which only runs for 15 minutes per session) does work on Audacity 1.3 … EZ mix demo running OK in Audacity 1,3 (on windows vista).png Once installed it appears under T for “Toontrack: EZ mix” on the effects list. Like Steve says effects don't work in real-time in audacity: i.e....

Re: New Guy

I'll bet Audacity isn't going to know what to do with that. Audacity 1.3 can rip the audio from certain video formats (MPEG4, WMV) if the FFmpeg libraries have been installed ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=97704#p97704 ... the optional FFmpeg Import/Export Library allow Audacity ...

Re: Make Mono Audio Sound Like It's Stereo

Oh and when you add a new track, is there any way to have the new track appear just below your currently selected one, rather than it appearing right at the bottom and having to drag it all the way up to where you want it? I’m not sure if this method is quicker than moving up the new empty mono tra...

Re: Filtering a noisy cicada on a recording....!

The vuvuzelas were all tuned to the same note so it was possible to remove that frequency, (and a few of its harmonics ), from the commentary and still have an intelligible speech. The cicada noise seems more like broadband noise which is impossible to remove. You could try audacity's noise "re...

Re: Perfect tone Fades loss after 4 seconds

I am recording tracks and it sounds perfect and after 4 seconds i loose all quality in my recording. ... could it have to do with my sound card. Yes, "echo cancellation" and/or "noise reduction" features on the sound card can be the cause, turn off these filter when recording mu...

Re: Chris Capel's Dynamic Compressor

Personally I don't think that the perceptual modelling (the "Compress bright/bass sounds") is quite right yet. The idea is that it makes the compressor follow the way in which hearing responds to volume at different frequencies, but in my tests I find that a more natural sound is produced...

Re: Adjusting Volume and Equalizer On Old Music

I tried to bet the VST plugin "Boost' to work but it wouldn't show in my effects. You have to tick this box I've coloured yellow in Audacity preferences when you add a VST effect to the plug-in folder, then close Audacity, if all is well the effect should then appear on the effects list when A...
