I think you've got it: the bitrate is only 128kbps for a 48000Hz stereo track, (should be double that) ...

Re: Best Sampling Rate for Export to Mp3?

I am in the process of re-recording everything at 44100 Hz and will re-post when it's up on the site. is there any point in looking into an audio player for WordPress that will play ...

Re: Organbear's website ... http://robreillyorgan.com/listen-music/ The first two recordings have a sample rate of 48KHz, but they don't have any frequencies above 16KHz ... Bob's big organ, Prelude in G Major , has nothing above16KHz (.png i.e. something in your recording/processing chain has a sam...

Re: ?remove noise form mic cable short

That's very badly damaged, but I've had a go ... I've applied Steve's popmute plugin on default settings then applied Audacity's "repair" to the worst offenders, last take has low-pass equalization on the glitch ... mornings before-after-after-after.flac Still sounds bad, but at least the ...

Re: Muffled voice: suggestions?

That sounds quite good. No really it's 'orrible. May I know how you did it? Adding harmonics (higher frequency versions) of what sound there is on the recording. If you are on Windows there is a free plugin for Audacity which adds harmonics ... http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Pl...

Re: Muffled voice: suggestions?

IMO the muffling is the worst culprit rather than the low (11025Hz) sounds-like-phone sample rate, (22050Hz is adequate for good quality speech) MVI_6064c-Before-after.wav Sounds somethin like " they asked what you'd like ... inspecting their deeds, yeah sure you did " but it's very very m...
