Re: Recording vinyl at 24-bit 96khz
I was hoping to do with it was rip vinyl at 24-bit 96khz. This has proved to be somewhat difficult. On windows, the maximum rate that the driver will let me pick is stereo 16-bt 48khz, which almost defeats the purpose of recording from vinyl. Can you hear above 24KHz ? ... http://forum.audacityteam...

Re: I am a mewbie please help
I deleted that file in my computer and started over. Now, when I play it back the two recordings are superimposed over one another! It is as if I had not deleted the first file. Both are playing at the same time in one mp3 file. I cannot seem to get this file off my computer no matter what I try. I...

Re: Removing everything that's clipped?
Forum member Steve made a plugin called popmute which is like an inverted noise gate: when the signal goes above a threshold, (not below like a regular gate), it can be squelched to silence, it may be worth a try, see .... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 42&t=50671

Re: Recording Audio
In principle, the solution to recording over 13.5 hours is to use the latest 1.3 Beta version of Audacity . Here, samples are stored as 64-bit values (even on 32-bit machines), which at 44100 Hz sample rate offers a maximum recording length of a mere 58 billion hours . http://wiki.audacityteam.org/...

Re: How to fix project
... Just wondering if I could boost the volume just a little? Use Audacity's "Amplify" or "Normalize" effects, (both in the "Effect" drop down menu), set to "0dB" for maximum volume, (in your case I suggest you use "Normalize" as the tracks are not ...

Re: Recording Traktor in Audacity with UA-4FX Audio Capture
I am trying to connect the headphone output on the UA-4FX to the microphone line in on my Dell Inspiron. None of my recording programs are picking the sound up (No waveforms in Audacity). I'm not sure where the problem is. If you're on Windows have a look at " windows recording devices " ...

Re: Staying in rhythm when creating loops, editing
Please wise me up Trebor - do you use the scientific approach or 'play it by ear'? Roughly by ear then precisely by eye: zooming in on the waveform until I can see the sample points. A tiny bit of cross-fade , close to a zero-crossing-point . Tip: once you have looped the sample apply some reverb: ...
