If you have a stereo recording and the noise sources are in different parts of the stereo field then you may* be able to isolate individual sources using Extraboy pro
[ * if the sounds are being reflected by say walls then completely isolating one source by this method will not be possible ]

Re: High and Low Vocals
I'm just using the internal mic which works well for my purposes excepting notes that are several pitches higher than normal speaking frequencies. If you mean certain frequencies are recorded louder (not "higher") than they are pecieved by your ear, then that is correctable with Audacity'...

Re: Create harmonics or something isolate transmission whine
This "turntable warp" plugin progressively speeds up or slows down a sound, a bit like an engine accelerating or decelerating... http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Turntable_Warping_MS idling-bus, before-after turntable warp.mp3 Not entirely convincing as it changes ...

Re: "Part 2: Creating the Bomb Effect" There is a plugin for Audacity to make explosion/fire/rocket sounds ... http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Generate_Plug-ins#Fire_and_Explosion_sounds You could of course mix these synthesized explosion sounds with real recorded sounds. http://...

Re: remove the singing from this clip
do you think any other program on the market would be able to do it? I don't think anything could do it: the piano and voice are similar in frequency-content and their position in the stereo field, they would have to differ in some respect to be able to separate them. Extraboy pro is designed to ex...

Re: Deleted file makes Export hang - a solution
The only scenario I can think of consistent with your explanation is the audio file is large and your hard-drive is almost full. By emptying the bin you have created space for new files to be saved, (the "hang" being due to lack of free space). [ I have never experienced this scenario myse...

I think deleting the file from the recycle bin and the problem resolving itself is a coinkidink.Swatcher wrote:The solution is to clear the deleted file from the Recycle Bin.

Re: remove the singing from this clip
I tried to remove the singing from this clip by following the instructions on this site, however the singing was still there, although a bit quieter, but the track had a strange ehco type sound to it as well, so not a great result. The "invert one track" method doesn't work when there is ...

the echo on "date" is either warped ( like a tape/ vinyl record slowing ) ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 28&t=54447
or pitch shifted without changing tempo.
