1. use the spectrogram-view to identify the click ... http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Click_removal_using_the_Spectrogram_view 2. then use "repair" or "equalization" to remove the click. In this case I used equalization as the click only occupied a narrow part of the audio spec...

Re: When I export a file, it doesn't act like it should!!
I have just painstakingly edited an mp3 file so that it can infinitely loop. I download and installed LAME, I clicked Export, and after a bit of clicking, it exported as an Mp3. You can only get away with looping an mp3 seamlessly if it starts and ends in silence, and there is a minimum of a twenti...

Re: Newbie question: compression algorithm
Wishful thinking: I would love to provide my own input/output or input/gain function or table to provide multiple compression knees and ratios. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated. " Chris's Compressor " plugin for Audacity allows you to set knees, as does the compressor p...

Re: Please help with strange tone removal
Any idea what could be causing this noise? I would really like to not have to filter this out each week. If the noise is only present when you plug a cable into the line-in socket, you could try a cable which has better screening to block the EMI . http://www.maplin.co.uk/high-grade-shielded-audio-...
