Re: Tracks lacking "power"
... The problem is that after that my tracks sound too soft. I usually work with electronic dance music, so it's essential for me that these tracks come out with "punch" and "power". What can I do? If you want push the volume to the max, try Steve's brickwall limiter ... [ too b...

Re: Convert text (pdf, Word docs) to speech and mp3 files
I am a new user to Audacity and have not yet installed the program. Is there an option to convert pdf or Word documents to speech, and save them to mp3 files? I am using Mac OS X, v. 10.7.5. Thanks. You'd need a text-to-speech program , then record its output with Audacity, then export the recordin...

Re: (beginner) Is this distortion fixable to any level?
If you change to the spectrogram view the non-harmonica bits extend across the entire audio spectrum so cannot be reduced with an equalizer.yorkieOl wrote:... I wil keep playing with equalizer
A limiter would make the amplitude of the waveform constant, but it's not much of an improvement.

Re: Need help with recording a bass guitar
I'm using the microphone port and a 1/4" to 1"8 adapter (yes, I checked the manual about that) and pretty much none of my notes on the E string are being recorded, save for maybe the 15th fret and onward. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance. Sounds like a consequence of impedan...

Re: How to get this effect?
Just remembered there can be a synchronization problem with the above code. If the control waveform FMing the track is a perfectly symmetrical waveform , say sine wave, then there is no sync problem. However if the waveform is asymmetrical, like pulses, (see "hello FM test" ), the tr...
