Re: Trying to Achieve Specific Effect - Missing Something
... Did you take Steve's upload and just apply a stereo reverb effect? Yes. You'll have to duplicate Steve's version to make a dual-mono version ... To duplicate select the track and press the keys "Ctrl"+"D" Then join these two identical tracks using "make stereo track&quo...

Re: Occasional "Fart" sound during recording
You could give Audacity higher priority so other processes (e.g. anti-virus) do not interrupt it. Also see the other strategies to avoid skipping which may also avoid farting ... http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Recording_-_Troubleshooting#How_can_I_record_without_small_skips_or_duplications.3F

Re: After recording speed changes
Maybe give Audacity higher priority so it isn't interrupted by other processes, which can cause recordings to drift out of sync.

Re: Automatic removal of mouth smacks
Trebor, are you also removing LP noise? Not LP, the click example I posted was a voice recording posted on this forum , ( it could be lip-smacking or a stuck mic-diaphragm freeing itself with a click). Using your plugin on the settings I posted reduced those type of clicks almost completely. I'll g...

Okay. How do I fix the effects of the notch filter? To undo a notch apply equalization with peak where the notch is ( @ 4500Hz , not 5000Hz as I said in my previous post  ) ... equalization to (partially) correct the notch @4500Hz.gif Notch @ Audacity frequency analysis showing notch @ 4500Hz...

"Varus.attack4.ogg" has stereo-reverb.omatase wrote:... It's not quite there but it's better than it was. Any other advice from other forum people would still be appreciated.
The attempts to replicate it so far in this thread are both mono , not stereo.

Re: What are the Best vocal settings for Multiband Compreesi
You might be right about the de-essing. Here is a audio sample: Quote_31.wav IMO the main problems are ... a hint of overload distortion (mic a bit too close to mouth) the occasional click, (e.g. on "T" of "the basis"). Noise level could be reduced a bit. ''it is the basis'' bef...

Re: What are the Best vocal settings for Multiband Compreesi
I just don't want the vocals to sound raw ... I have been trying to compress the high band only. About 2800 hertz upward . Seems to help a little without sounding muddy. Sounds like you are de-essing , which can be done using the upper band of a multi-band compressor, or via a de-essing plug-in lik...
