Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.
We have an experimental hum filter here somewhere that automatically pulls out the hum tones ... One of Steve's de-hum plugins is attached to this post ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=79481#p79481 Or alternatively my dehummer plugin ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming
Even when I moved it the full length the lead will go it still makes the noise. Same with it being close to the pc. Then Koz is correct , the 1KHz + harmonics whine noise is on the 5 volt power supply at the USB socket powering the microphone. Maybe someone has made a gadget to fix this : a decoupl...

Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming
If due to EMI radiating from the computer the noise will become louder if the mic is moved closer to the computer.
If due to a dirty power supply [what Koz says] then moving the mic about shouldn't make any difference to the volume of the whine.

Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming
My blue snowball which just came in the mail this morning is making a high pitched noise. I have tried connecting it to all my usb ports but it still does it. Any help would be appreciated. The noise is the 1KHz + harmonics whine which is generated [and radiated ] by the computer ... frequency anal...

Re: Modified Frequency to Inaudible BUT STILL Audible?
... I would like to import a .WAV file of recorded voice audio and simply change the Frequency to the inaudible range of 19Khz ... Sounds like thomp95 is trying one of those "subliminal message" things which Steve explained how to do here ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=...

Re: GSnap now in Plugins, but Audacity ignores it
I placed the (32 bit) GSnap .dll file into Audacity's plugins folder; then re-started Audacity, multiple times, re-started my computer, re-downloaded GSnap and re-placed it into the plugins folder, re-started Audacity again --- and GSnap still does not appear in Audacity's effects list. Advice? You...

Re: How to change tone of voice (not pitch)?
...Something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eHmVjmHOZQ Is there a plugin or do I just have to add multiple effects? Sounds like something done with a sequencer , Audacity does have one of those but it's very primitive ... Demo of Audacity's primitive sequencer plugin.mp3 If you are comp...

Re: Need help cleaning up sound
Ok, I tried resaving it using a higher kbps ratio and posted the clip on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljB0EUxJj1M&feature=youtube.? The intermittent fault isn't compression artifacts : they would be constant when anyone spoke on the recording , not intermittent. If the aud...

Re: Need help cleaning up sound
I recently used Audacity to remove the background music from a clip and keep the dialogue. Then I used windows movie maker to add different background music. It actually worked pretty well, except now there's this awful high-pitched squeaking sound when they speak. If when you exported the movie fr...
