Re: Latest
Here's a VERY rough little demo I did on a new song I'm working on. I recorded it last night. It's just me and a guitar through an amp and using a computer mic up to the amp to record with. No effects or anything on it except I did normalize it but that's all. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5nmy...

How's this.... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5nmyi3H_VvfWEdqY1ZwSjI5Vjg/edit?usp=sharing That doesn't have any frequencies above 11kHz*. Trebor - I'll have to look further into it but I can't think of how anything could be at 22050Hz. Audacity quality settings are as shown on the link you provided. But I'll do some more checking and see if I can figure it out. Could any effects processing (VST's etc) cause that? It would be possible...

Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.
Of the three "3rd.Master" sounds like the original, un-processed. There's two lots of mains hum on that , one with a fundamental frequency of 61.33Hz , due to the tape running slightly fast, and a second lot of mains hum with a fundamental of 60Hz , (maybe added by the tape player when the...

Re: Recording dialogue in the wilderness
... I noticed when I removed the center on our digital recorder files it eliminated everything. So I'm guessing that doesn't differentiate as much as the camera (what was in the previous mp3)? Or am I missing something. If your digital recorder only has one microphone , i.e. mono not stereo, then t...

I can only hear an actual slide technique on the guitar to slide the pitch down, rather than some sort of post-processing special-effect ... http://youtu.be/nM__lPTWThU?t=14s

Here it is. Let me know what you think. http://www.reverbnation.com/samhoustonfullblood/song/5367704-shoot-her-memory-down Whatever you've done it has fixed the fluctuating vocal volume :) The next item on the agenda is finding out why the frequencies above 11kHz are absent It's possible to boost w...

Re: Latest
Ok. I got the song remixed and vocals re-recorded. I was going to upload it this morning but now I can't. If you were trying to upload it here the maximum size of an attachment to a post in this forum is 1Mb. A 3minute stereo mp3 will be several Mb in size and too big to attach to a post here. ... ...
