Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.

... there is still quite a lot of hiss that I would like to take out? This is where I’m not that good at understanding how to use the EQ tool or some other tools and methodology to resolve the two types of hiss on the tracks. One form of hiss is constant, where the other oscillates as a residual of...

Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.

The track was still quiet, so I also used the “Amplify” to increase the volume. But my waveform did not come out the same as yours. If amplify isn't making it loud enough use Steve's limiter , (repeatedly if necessary) ... maximize ampilitude (volume) with amplify and limiter.gif If amplifying the ...

Re: Isolating music from 2 tracks with different vocals?

The responses I am getting seem to imply that I am subtracting L from R or some such thing but I am not. I actually have two different complete stereo versions Combine the two left tracks into a stereo pair, then apply a plug-in which gives what is common to both. repeat with the two right tracks ,...

Re: Help a noob

:? I have no idea what any of that means. Nor do I know how to "fix" it. You can use the Audacity's equalizer to remove the valleys from the frequency analysis and make the vocal brighter, or try another microphone which is designed for recording music , rather than one just fit for Skype.

For isolating what is common to two tracks you could try ... Robert J. H. https://soundcloud.com/tim-vandeville-jr/be-still-the-fray-cover The vocal has a resonance effect like you're singing down a tube, this shows up on the frequency analysis as big valleys at 4.25kHz and 9.5kHz ... valleys at 4-25kHz and 9-5kHz shouldn't be there.gif The valley at 4-25kHz is particula...

Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.

... One of the feedback sections I can hear music and talking in the background and I tried to isolate it using the “Noise Removal” tool, but I was not successful ... I’ve included an MP3 sample so that you can hear and analyze what I’m talking about. I used Steve's Hum remover then and equalizatio...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise

... i actually can't hear any noise now, but cable is really short. ... Maybe someone can tell me what could be a noise source. If the shorter the cable, the less the noise, then that's consistent with the cable picking up EMI radiated from the computer through the air. Maybe try a double-shielded ...
